Gross weight is a carton figure, not a jar figure - a 5 g sample pot itself weighs a few grams. Ask for the packing list per size: carton dimensions, units per carton and gross weight, so freight can be planned before the order instead of after. Custom dimensions are available for wholesale orders.

Honest Use of the Unlined Jar
An unlined bamboo jar is a real product with real limits. Direct contact works for anhydrous balms, solid perfume and dry powders. It does not work for water-based creams: the wood takes up water and swells, and the pores hold residue that cannot be fully washed out - a used unlined jar is not reliably re-cleanable for a new formula. Oil-rich balms are the middle case: the wood darkens and takes on the scent of the balm over months of contact. If your customer plans to switch formulas, sell them the lined build.
Care Instructions
After each use, wipe the rim of the jar to remove any residue.
For bamboo-only jars (no liner), avoid leaving wet product on the rim for extended periods.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prolong the life of the bamboo.

Q: Do the jars need an inner liner?
A: It depends on the formula. Anhydrous balms, solid perfume and dry powders work directly against bamboo. Water-based creams, gels and serums need the PP or glass liner - the wood takes up water and is hard to re-clean once used.
Q: Will the bamboo go mouldy?
A: The shells are carbonised - held at high temperature in low-oxygen steam, which drives off the sugars and starches fungi feed on. No mould inhibitors are added. Store the jars dry, wipe the rim after use, and keep humidity moderate; prolonged damp against unlined bamboo is the one condition that defeats any heat treatment.
Q: Are the jars leak-proof?
A: A cream in a solid-walled jar does not leak; what the silicone ring does is slow moisture loss and keep dust out. Wipe the rim after each use - cream left on the rim wicks into the thread. The jar is not an oxygen barrier; for oxygen-sensitive actives, use the lined build with minimal headspace.
Q: PP liner or glass liner?
A: PP is the standard: light, low cost, comfortable across pH 2 to 12. Glass is the choice for fragrance-heavy or essential-oil formulas - terpenes such as limonene migrate into PP over long contact - and lets the user see the fill level. Both liners are specified to food-contact documents: FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for PP, and EU Regulation 1935/2004 with 10/2011 migration limits.
Q: What are the MOQ and lead times?
A: Stock jars start at 1,000 units; custom engraving, sizes or finishes start at 3,000 units, in line with the rest of our bamboo range. Confirm current lead times with us when you send your specification.
Q: How do I care for an unlined jar?
A: Wipe the rim after every use, keep the jar dry, and never soak it. If the surface dries out, a thin coat of food-grade beeswax restores it. An unlined jar that held a balm will carry a faint scent of that balm - plan refills within the same formula family.
